Ceremony Weavers of the Wheel are a group of independent Priestesses of different paths who call Bristol Goddess Temple their home.
We run ceremonies at Bristol Goddess Temple for each turn of the wheel. These are done with the express intent of fostering community and raising funds for temple, we donate our time and skills and all profits go directly to temple to support it being there for our community.
The ceremonies are designed to be accessible to all regardless where you are on your journey with the Goddess/Paganism. We have different themes to the ceremonies, sometimes purely about the energy at that time of year and honouring the season, sometimes dedicated to a specific God/Goddess. We also do ceremonies dedicated to the elements or archetypes. The theme will always be included in the individual event adverts which you can find on our Facebook page or the Bristol Goddess Temple Facebook page and website.
Our ceremonies always follow a similar structure. There will be a brief introduction of the theme and then we create sacred space by calling in goddess/gods/elements/energies. Whatever serves our purpose of the ceremony. We always include a meditative element, this can be a visualisation, guided meditation, or independent journey to music, we have even done a dance based meditation!
We try and include a craft of some kind on the theme and you will usually come away with something for your home altar or as a keepsake. Our activities are very varied, but don’t worry we demonstrate everything and offer help and guidance during the crafting. We’ve made god and goddess figurines, corn dolls, ritual bath salts, Bridget’s crosses, all sorts!
Where possible we try and include what’s happening in the lunar cycle at the time, and some history of the festival we are celebrating.
We usually finish with a sharing round and then close the circle and bid the energies we called in farewell.
Afterwards we provide refreshments in the break room area and socialise. The temple will be open and we often provide smudging/saining or blessings should you feel called to receive one. Temple shop will also be open for you to stock up on supplies such as candles and incense and the various gorgeous items the shop stocks.
We ask you to pay in advance to our PayPal account or a bank transfer to secure your place and cover the cost of materials we need to buy for the crafting element of the ceremony. Cost varies from ceremony to ceremony depending on the craft so check our event on Facebook for the cost of each ceremony. You can contact us via Facebook messenger or our email.
We advise that these ceremonies are suitable for ages 13 and over, however it’s worth checking this at Beltane as we may do a more adult themed ceremony.
